1. Publication Ethics Principles

Advanced Scientific Research (ASRJ), ISSN 2456-7744, is committed to maintaining high standards of academic and publication integrity.

The journal expects authors, editors, reviewers and all individuals involved in the publication process to act honestly, transparently and responsibly.

Core Principle Editorial decisions should be based on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance and methodological integrity of a manuscript and should not be influenced by personal, institutional or commercial interests.

2. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts meet the journal's academic, ethical and publication requirements.

  • The manuscript must be original and must not have been published elsewhere.
  • The manuscript must not be simultaneously submitted to another journal.
  • All listed authors must have made a meaningful contribution to the research or manuscript.
  • Authors must accurately report research findings.
  • Fabrication, falsification and manipulation of data are prohibited.
  • Appropriate sources and previous research must be properly acknowledged.
  • Authors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest.
  • Authors must cooperate with reasonable requests concerning corrections or clarification of published work.

3. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for maintaining the academic quality and integrity of the journal's editorial process.

  • Editors should evaluate manuscripts objectively.
  • Editorial decisions should be based on scholarly merit, relevance and research quality.
  • Editors should maintain confidentiality concerning submitted manuscripts.
  • Editors should select suitable and independent reviewers.
  • Editors should identify and appropriately address potential conflicts of interest.
  • Editors should respond appropriately to allegations of research or publication misconduct.
  • Editors should ensure that corrections and retractions are handled transparently where necessary.

4. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers contribute to the quality of the journal by providing objective and constructive assessments of submitted manuscripts.

  • Reviewers should provide fair and evidence-based assessments.
  • Reviewers should maintain confidentiality.
  • Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been appropriately cited where possible.
  • Reviewers should disclose potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review.
  • Reviewers should not use unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal advantage.
  • Reviewers should not allow personal criticism of authors to influence their evaluation.

5. Plagiarism and Similarity

ASRJ considers plagiarism and inappropriate reuse of previously published material to be serious publication ethics violations.

Submitted manuscripts may be subjected to similarity screening or other editorial checks before publication.

  • Direct copying without appropriate attribution is unacceptable.
  • Self-plagiarism and substantial redundant reuse of previously published material may be investigated.
  • Proper quotation and citation are required when using another author's work.
  • A high similarity result may require clarification, revision or rejection depending on the circumstances.
Important A similarity percentage by itself does not automatically establish plagiarism. Editorial assessment should consider the nature, source and context of the matching material.

6. Duplicate and Redundant Publication

Authors must not submit substantially the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.

If substantial overlap with a previous publication is identified, ASRJ may request an explanation and take appropriate editorial action.

  • Duplicate submission
  • Duplicate publication
  • Redundant publication
  • Undisclosed translation or republication

7. Research and Publication Misconduct

ASRJ may investigate credible allegations of research or publication misconduct.

✕

Fabrication

Making up research data, results, participants or other research information.

⚠

Falsification

Manipulating research materials, data, images or results in a misleading manner.

📄

Plagiarism

Presenting another person's work or ideas without appropriate acknowledgement.

👤

Authorship Misconduct

Improper attribution, fabricated authorship or inappropriate exclusion of contributors.

8. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers and editors should disclose relationships or interests that could reasonably influence the research, review or editorial decision.

Potential conflicts may include financial interests, professional relationships, institutional interests, personal relationships or other relevant circumstances.

Disclosure A conflict of interest does not necessarily prevent publication or participation in peer review. The purpose of disclosure is to promote transparency and enable appropriate editorial management.

9. Authorship and Contribution

Authorship should reflect substantial contribution to the research and/or preparation of the manuscript.

All authors should approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet authorship requirements may be acknowledged with their permission.

Changes to authorship after submission should be supported by an appropriate explanation and agreement from all affected authors.

10. Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies

Authors may use appropriate AI-assisted technologies during manuscript preparation, provided that such use does not compromise the originality, accuracy, integrity or confidentiality of the work.

  • AI tools must not be listed as authors.
  • Authors remain fully responsible for the submitted manuscript.
  • AI-generated information, references, quotations and factual statements must be carefully verified.
  • Where AI-assisted content materially contributes to manuscript preparation, authors should provide an appropriate disclosure in accordance with the journal's AI policy.
  • Authors must not use AI systems in a manner that violates confidentiality, copyright or research ethics.

Reviewers and editors should not upload confidential manuscript content to external AI systems when doing so would compromise manuscript confidentiality.

11. Corrections and Amendments

If an error is discovered in a published article, ASRJ may publish an appropriate correction or amendment when the error affects the accuracy, interpretation or integrity of the scholarly record.

Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the scholarly meaning may be corrected without issuing a formal correction notice, where appropriate.

12. Retraction Policy

An article may be considered for retraction when there is reliable evidence that the publication contains serious problems affecting the integrity or reliability of the scholarly record.

Possible grounds may include:

  • Fabrication or falsification of research data.
  • Serious plagiarism.
  • Duplicate publication.
  • Major undisclosed ethical problems.
  • Serious authorship or consent-related issues.
  • Other circumstances that substantially undermine the reliability of the published article.
Maintaining the Scholarly Record Retraction is intended to correct the scholarly record transparently rather than to punish authors. Where appropriate, the original article may remain accessible with a clear retraction notice and explanation.

13. Complaints and Allegations

Complaints concerning editorial decisions, publication practices, ethical issues or possible misconduct may be submitted to the journal's editorial office.

Complaints should contain sufficient information to allow the matter to be investigated responsibly.

ASRJ will review complaints in a fair and confidential manner where appropriate and may request supporting documentation.

14. Appeals Against Editorial Decisions

Authors may request reconsideration of an editorial decision where they believe that a significant factual error, misunderstanding or procedural issue affected the decision.

An appeal should clearly explain the grounds for reconsideration and should provide relevant supporting information.

An appeal does not guarantee reversal of the original editorial decision.

15. Research Data and Integrity

Authors are expected to maintain appropriate records and supporting information necessary to substantiate their research findings.

Where ethically and legally permissible, authors should provide sufficient methodological information to enable appropriate understanding and assessment of their work.

Manipulation or inappropriate alteration of research images, datasets or experimental results is prohibited.

16. Ethical Publishing Workflow

ASRJ follows a structured editorial process designed to protect the integrity of submitted and published research.
